This honey was collected in Greece on the island of Crete in the Samaria National Park which is located in the southwest of the island. Bees forage for thyme vulgaris, one of the purest on the island. This thyme honey is one of the most representative of the flora of the Mediterranean basin.
Crete is the southernmost tip of Greece, a blessed place which due to the long periods of sunshine promotes the flourishing of wild flora. Aromatic plants such as thyme, sage, rosemary and dictame bloom all year round as well as many citrus fruits. Manolis, our beekeeper positions his beehives in the White Mountains of Samaria National Park.
