A rare honey
This nectar comes from calluna heather, a plant that thrives in acidic and poor soils. It is distinguished from its cousin, the bell heather by its open flowers and not in bells.
It is harvested from mid-August to mid-September by our partner beekeepers.
The apiaries are located between 1000 and 1400 m altitude and the bees forage between 1500 and 2500m using the updrafts.
This honey is devilishly complicated to obtain and jars are rare on the stalls.
